Our client, one of the largest and well-established accountancy practices in Oxfordshire, are expanding their financial reporting team and are now seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant with a background in the public sector.
Offering the full range of accountancy and business services across a diverse portfolio of clients, including Academies, Colleges and Charities, our client now seeks a public sector accountant with a background in the education sector.
For the successful candidate our client is offering study support, if required.
The role
Reporting to the Audit Manager, and being part of a large audit team, the successful candidate will prepare accounts for audit by the audit team. You will also use your sector-specific experience in conducting AARs, BFROs and Corporation Tax computations.
This is also an inward-facing role, the successful candidate having exposure and engagement with other tax teams, as well as a range of other teams and departments.
The person
With an excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and UK accounting standards, you must be a qualified (or Finalist) ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, or Qualified By Experience.
You must also have a strong background in the education sector, with an ability to develop meaningful relationships with clients across the sector, and a flexible approach to meet tight deadlines.
